Closure Report

Reinforcement is the final phase - the R - in the ADKAR framework. Soon after the go-live event (depending on risk and stakeholder sensitivity), publish a Closure Report for the project.

Your Closure Report should answer these questions:

  1. Spirit of Adoption - which users, and what percentage, embrace and execute the new processes in an authentic spirit of adoption?

  2. Spirit of Compliance - which users, and what percentage, endure and execute the new processes in the spirit of begrudging compliance?

  3. How closely does the new reality reflect the Elevator Pitch?

  4. Are the relevant leading metrics trending toward green range?

  5. Are the relevant lagging metrics trending toward green range?

  6. Process adherence and integrity - how closely are stakeholders executing process steps as defined?

    • Quantity of process steps

    • Process duration

    • Process effort

  7. Did user chores disappear?

  8. Adherence to business case: revenue rise, cost decrease, reactions from competitors or value chain partners

  9. Any reason to revert to Previous State?

Conduct an I Like I Wish I Hope I Wonder exercise. If any negative surprises exist, record them in the Change Log, BRIQ Log, or both.

You should conduct a monthly Lessons Learned exercise during the project, and yes, after a Go-Live Date is another occasions to conduct a formal Port-mortem / After Action Review.

CONGRATULATIONS!
