Workload Report
“I really need a day between Saturday and Sunday.”
Every member of your ensemble wants to do a great job and contribute as much value as possible, without burning out.
Every ensemble member should report their current workload to their manager resembling:
5 = Workload is overflowing; additional work is a bad idea; it is best to take something off my plate
4 = Workload is full; additional work likely waits or impacts work-in-flight
3 = Workload can handle additional burst of work but feels healthy and sustainable
2 = Workload can handle additional new workstream
1 = Workload is low / pipeline is starving; I am concerned about my job security
Every team member might report this weekly, as part of their weekly-ish individual status report, or just notify their manager anytime their workload changes among these five levels!
